The first activity of Global Angel has successfully ended! We gathered in front of the main gate of our school around 2:30 p.m. and headed to the Han River together. About 15 students including members of YG joined this program. It took only 30 minutes to get there. Before we started to pick up garbage, a staff of the Han River explained that about 60 million people visit Han River, which is six times as many as population of Seoul city, so there’s tremendous amount of trash around the Han River. She also added that it is important to show people movement of cleaning the river because it will promote other people to do so.

After having a lecture about the importance of the behavior, about eighteen students deliberately cleaned up riverside. Having a close look, there was plenty of litter all around the river. We fully filled up our garbage bag without difficulty. It was worthwhile for not only cleaning up polluted areas but prompting others to act like us.
Although the weather was so windy and chilly enough to catch a cold, we enjoyed eating fried chickens and talking to each other. Everyone got a very invaluable experience that cannot be easily achieved.
