On May 14th 2022, 4 Yonsei Global members
and 3 exchange students gathered at our Yonsei University Sinchon campus to
visit Kyungbok Palace. After meeting up at 1:30PM, we took the bus and moved to
first our destination, Yes Hanbok. At Yes Hanbok we all chose a design of our
own and got dressed in the Korean
Traditional clothing, Hanbok.
We then headed to the Kyungbok Palace, which was
around about 5 mintues away from the store. The Kyunbok Palace was the Royal
Palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Looking inside the Palace gates, we were
delighted by the building’s elegance and especially mesmerised by the
sophisticated patterns that decorated it. Along with the walk, we also took
photos to remember the day’s beauty.
After a look around the palace, we also went to the
National Folk Museum which was located nearby. We could see outdoor displays of
the living environment of Korea during different periods.
After our tour of the Kyungbok Palace and the National
Folk Museum, we changed back into our clothes and headed to our last
destination, ‘Naejadong Chuncheon Dakgalbi’, for dinner. As the name of the
restaurant hints, we had ‘닭갈비(Dakgalbi)’,
a spicy chicken stir-fry dish. We had a lovely time eating dinner as not only
was the meal delicious, but we also used the opportunity to get to know about
each other more.
