On November 5th, 2022, 5 YG members and 3 exchange students met at the front gate of Yonsei University at 6pm. We took a bus and arrived at Mangwon Market, where we bought food for the Han River picnic. Then we rented some chairs, tables, and blankets and found a place right in front of the Han River to set them up. It was nice because it wasn’t too cold.
We ate the food we bought at the market, such as tteokbokki, chicken gangjeong, and raw fish. While we ate, we talked about a lot of things like our hometown and favorite food. We were a bit shy at first, but eventually everyone got close to each other.
After we finished eating, we played a game of Uno. Since there were a lot of people, the game took quite a long time to end. But everybody had fun. After that, we started to pack and clean up. We put the chairs and tables back into the wagon and threw all the garbage into a nearby trashcan. We enjoyed the experience of talking to people with different cultures and making new friends. Also, the weather was nice, and the view of the Han River was beautiful. It was a meaningful experience.
On Monday May 22nd, 2023, TS2 went to 명륜진사갈비, a BBQ restaurant in Sinchon. 2 international students from Norway and 5 Korean members ate charcoal-grilled ribs for 2 hours.
