On May 18th, 2023, Yonsei Global held Global Day at the Yonsei University Global Lounge with the cooperation of the Czech Embassy in Korea. This semester, we have set up several booths with the theme of the Czech Republic, where people can try local food and drink, and experience the culture. The event was attended not only by Korean students but also by many foreign students.
For this event, we have prepared a quiz about the Czech Republic, traditional Czech costumes, Czech’s sandwiches, and drinks. The tasting booth was especially popular, and the sandwiches and desserts sold out quickly. At the experience booth, people can get a prize if they collect 5 stickers, so many students seriously participated in the game.
Through this event, I was able to deepen my understanding of the Czech Republic, which I had never felt so close to before, and I think it was a valuable experience. I am already looking forward to holding an even more powerful Global Day for the next semester.
